Forestburg
I thought today was gonna be a total drag, but it was actually really awesome! At 7:00 am (yes 7!!!) Kenneth woke me up and said to be ready cuz we were going in 10 minutes. Actually we were leaving at 8:30, but he just wanted me ready. Then I went on the computer and found Rain's sn!!!!!!! <3 ask me for it if you want it. So, to continue, we met at Viv-I mean Mrs.Martinez's house. I hate when your parents call people by their first names and then when you accidentally call them by their first name too its bad. So we went, and were supposed to leave at 9:00, but we actually left at 9:30. Mr.Martinez didnt have Forestburg on his gps, so we had to go by directions, and since only their car had the directions, we followed them. And my mom had to get sneakers. But BEFORE that, I realized something bad. My brothers friend Chris Motola likes me. I know. :( He started talking to me about my book like he always does, and then he started sideling closer. Then our dads got on the topic of dating, and saying I could never go on a date, to which I responded "I've already had a boyfriend dad." Then Chris interrogates me about the person, and I hadnt said his name yet. I said he went to CBA, and he was like, "I know someone there." Guess what? He knows Ryan. :( His dad started saying to him about interrogating me, and he was like *blush*. Then he whispered something about me to Brandon, and I ran in the car under the pretence of getting another book. End long story.Lots of stuff happened on the road, but lemme just map it out for you. In car #1 you have Mr.Martinez driving, Mrs. Martinez, Brandon (boyscout&son), Antonio(boyscout just being driven), and Andy (Brandon's little brother). In car #2 you have my dad driving, my mom, me, and Kenneth (boyscout). And in car #3 you have Mr.Motola driving, Mrs.Motola, Chris (boyscout), and Matty (Chris's little brother). There ya go. All nice and mapped.
So we drove and it was a 2 hr drive. We had some problems and decided since we had 1 1/2 hrs early we should eat now. Then the deli incident (involving Mr.Martinez passing EVERY resturant and deli and stopping short, and my dad swerving wildly) not to mention finger mountain and Monticello :). I wanna live in the mountains!!!!!!!
So we all turn around into a gas station in our usual crazy way for this trip, turn around, and go to the local pizza place. LMAO. Imagine all of the people above, 4 in boyscout uniforms, running into the pizza place with their parents and siblings, everyone hectic and screaming at the pizza guy to get us some pizza's NOW. It was hilarious. We tried to scarf down our food, but we still took 20 minutes. Oh, btw, Antonio got cornrows. Random, I know. Anyway, I spilt sauce on my shirt and pants, and I realized it was on my pants but not my shirt. So I was walking around with a big glob of pizza sauce on my shirt for a long time. Then I freaked cuz i love my shirt, and the entire rest of the day Mr.Martinez kept tricking me by saying "You have sauce _______". We have all come to the conclusion that I am very gulliable.
We get to Forestburg finally, and everyone says their last goodbyes. But we decide to hike down with the boys. What a workout!!!!!!! But I felt very special because the adults actually talked to me, which is to be expected, because none of the other parents we were driving with had girls. I'm so special! Then my dad poured water down my back resulting in a water splashing fight and Mr.Martinez saying real hikers walk through the mud, not around it, after which he proceeded to walk around the mud, and when I reminded him saying "But I'm not a real camper". We got there and looked around and it was cool. General joking around and stuff. Chris was the younger boys tour person. We said our real final goodbyes after hanging out for a while and talking to the people. Then we walked back, and went into the shop to see what the boys could buy. Slushies!!!!!!! Theres a really cool lake there, and it was really pretty. We saw the lodge for staff too, and some people, like Doug and Mike. There were actually quite a few handsome boyscouts Jane :). Then we hiked down the hill (to our relief) and up the hill (to not our relief). We saw a guy driving a truck down and my dad said Kenneth was going to a camp with pedophiles. So then we got back in the car, said our farewells to Forestburg, and started home.
On the way back home we went through Monticello again, where we're staying on Friday. Its really downscale. Hopefully our motel is not. Then we drove for a while, and a guys tire popped off landing right in front of the Martinez car. It was a big jumble as everyone swerved wildly, and then they just stopped and forgot about it. Then we got icecream at a rest stop. The adults (meaning Carlos, Vivien, Joe, Julie, Ken and Susan, yay for first names!!!!!) decided they were gonna enjoy having the kids at camp by eating at the all you can eat seafood buffet at The Quay on Wednesday. It would be too expensive to take Andy and Matt too, so I volunteered to babysit that night. They're sweet kids, so they wont give me too much trouble. Then we split up and drove however we wanted home. By chance the Motolas pulled in to Stop and Shop at the same time we did. So we chatted again.
I know this may sound like a boring day, but it was actually alot of fun. I LOVE Forestburg. A gazillion guys... Mr.Martinez was like "Didn't we tell you, your staying" and then was like "The only girl with hundreds of boys...on second thought, maybe we should take you home." So now I'm home. Then on Friday we're going back to Forestburg for a campfire cookout, and we're staying the night there (in a motel, not camp). Then we drive home with Kenneth and chill. For once, I love my life. Cept for the Chris thing. Btw, Chris Cline is rooming with Chris Motola. :) Me and Mr.Motola talked ALL about it. :)
Free love for all,
Caitlin
